Bud shears, pine snips, mekiribasami - call them what you want, these are the very best. Exceptionally fine quality hand forged steel, spring action and a chunky catch at the bottom. Red and yellow handles of Tobisho (remove the vinyl grips if you prefer the old fashioned look, but we prefer the funky colours). Used in Japan for pine pruning (some gardeners prefer the round handled garden scissors- it’s up to you) they are ideal for detailed pruning work where strength is not the issue.
